Ep. 211 - "The Heart Brings You Back"

Hey guys, At first viewing this episode just made me angry. I must have yelled WTF at the TV like every 5 minutes. First Lucas goes to see Brooke and then leaves. He just looks weird there. I will cling to my original theory on who Lucas loves, but that is better explained later on. I was left super confused right from the beginning. I couldn't for the life of me understand the H/C at the Bus Station scene. Was that her daydream or his? WTF? I guess it only makes sense for it to be hers, and when he said "married girl" it brought her back to her senses and that's when she pulled away and said "I can't do this". This left me SO mad at her. Specially when you see Nathan had been sitting there for so long that even the candles he had lit before were almost out. Then skanky-ho sis comes to the door. **rolls eyes** Comment on the James sisters and the rain: Get better bras girls. Both of them came out nipples-ablazing. Taylor looked the slutty part alright. And her waaay too obvious come hithers to Nathan were just nauseating. **mimicking** "Can you grab that?" Ugh! Must we suffer through another Nicki-esque character? I thought I would be loving all members of the James clan. Let's hope that Vivian and Quinn are different; let Haley have some decent siblings. I AM wondering about the James boys though. Would any of them want to come to TH and beat Poser Boy's beehind? I'd pay for the airfare. Jake and Peyton were very cute. That hug, *sigh* JAKE!!! I am so glad that BG is back. I missed ya BG!!! I hope he stays until that 2 hour season finale. Ok, so Jake came back because Lucas called him. Hmmm, so Chia was calling 411 Nationwide or has he been interning at a P.I.'s office secretely? And Jenny is still in Savannah, so Nicki is hopefully far away. Jake sleeping on Peyton's bed with her was sweet. He looked so shaken though. He is SO into her. *sigh* I was glad to see that an attempt at continuity was made briefly and that Haley showed up wet at the apartment. N: "Where the hell have you been?" Oooh, he was MAD! Angry Nathan is HOT! H: "I just... I needed to clear my head, Nathan." From what? Remembering that you have a husband and a home and school and work commitments? Don't annoy me Pod Haley. And Taylor's saccharine "Little Sis!" ARGH! N: "You were with Chris again, weren't you?" H: "Will you just listen to me, please? (Pause) It's over, OK? He...left town... he wanted me to go with him." Why the pause Pod Haley? I don't know if this was Joy's delivery of the line or intentional, but it didn't look good for her. She called her sister Hurricane Taylor, and there was so much rain, me doth smell a weather analogy at the end. Lucas and Brooke were so boring. Blah! I liked them in S1, but now? They just don't make any sense. If he cared about her SO much then why did he cheat on her with Peyton. What happened to that oh so great love her felt for Peyton? Was that just meaningless? This just makes him look so flighty. And gag me when Felix tried to display his disgusting macho antics by kissing Brooke in front of Lucas. All he needed was to beat his fists in his chest and claim his woman. Look George of the Jungle, just go back and slam yourself into a tree. Karen and Andy, hmm, seems Karen is always quick to jump the gun and think the worst of Andy, and he conveniently always has the perfect excuse but can never tell it to her right away. I don't think they will last very long if they keep this up. It's a shame, cause I liked him. Lucas and Jules: why would Karen hire her? A girl who doesn't know how to make a Lond Island Iced Tea is just a blasphemous twit. The horror! Go learn how to make my favorite drink, STAT! Conveniently though, she had a quick excuse about Dan. Yeah. whatever. Peyton showing Jake the club was cool. The set of TRIC is just rad. But, (continuity issue again people) how could Jake see H/C kissing at the bus stop and then make it to see Peyton at that alley BEFORE the rain started? it rained right after that disgusting kiss, so what gives? NATHAN: (Smiling) "Huh... see, I don't know CPR and even if I did, I wouldn't (Lucas looks away.) give you mouth-to-mouth so... try not to drop when I'm the only person around." LOL. Eww, I wouldn't even wrap my arms around him to give him the Heimlich maneuver, much less put my mouth anywhere near his for CPR. Chia's got kooties or much worse. (Remember two words people: Nicki and carrousel) **shudders** Anyways, so Nathan thinks Taylor was his first. I say "thinks" because I think Taylor is messing with his not so good memory. Too much of an ick factor if she was indeed his first. Felix & Brooke: Boooring! NEXT! Nathan and Taylor talk @ the apartment: MUST she be so flirty with her sister's HUSBAND? T: "Well how do you think I got this great ass?" "You know, I still can't believe little sis snagged such a hottie. I mean, usually, I get them first." Oh and ever heard of body lotion? What's she gonna do, roast herself with the baby oil? Peyton and Anna was not a shocker per say, but man, I gasped at the kiss moment. Whatever made Anna think Peyton was into that? The episode was a bit choppy too. They cut to commercial and right away came back to the next day with the same two girls. Peyton was so cool about it though. I gave her kudos for that. Lucas and Felix: was that a fight? The bench gave the best bruise, so in my book IT wins. Lucas could've kept on hitting Felix but he decided to be the better man, but Felix played dirty. Do we wonder now why I don't like him? I'm sorry Schwahn, I gave him a chance but smarmy and amoral guys don't do it for me. He kicked Chia while he was down. Quick everyone, post flyers warning other students of this guy, specially the ones wearing glasses and in wheelchairs, cause he has no respect for anyone. N/T @ beach house: Pure side note, James looked MEGA HOT in this scene. Really. I kept on rewinding it. His hair was perfect, his eyes so blue and expressive, and *THUD* ahhh yes, he looked gorgeous. Beyond that, Taylor irritated me. T: "Well this time I'll only nibble." "I was having too much fun watching you squirm." "Does that make me bad?" "I guess we could do that. (Looks pointedly.) This time." **gags** She is SO obvious!!! Someone kick this pedophile out of Tree Hill please. Send her packing with the rest of her kind (i.e. Chris). James looked hot though. (Ok, felt I needed to say that again, lol) NH talk: I was glad to see that Haley was annoyed at Nathan coming home late. I guess the taste of her own medicine left a bitter taste. GOOD! H: "We are supposed to be working on our marriage." "I don't wanna lose you" Oh she won me back there. Those were glimpses of Real Haley. She doesn't want to loose him, so fight for him then! He did all the wooing the first time around. YOU mess up, then it's YOUR turn. N: "Wha-are you threatened by her?" H: "I don't trust her." Oooh the roles reversed. He gave her the same words she gave him about Poser, "threatened". And she doesn't trust her sister, much like Nathan didn't trust Chris. Oh the sweet irony. Detective Lucas found out about Jules too easily for my taste. I smell something funny here. Could it be all part of Dan's evil plan? Maybe. At least I hope so, maybe then we'll get Dan back. I missed him this eppy. (Yes, he's hateful but I love him anyways, lol) JP: I was so glad that Jake asked her to go with him to get Jenny. I love these two. H/T: So there was the spine we knew Haley had once sported! She threw out Taylor! Unfortunately Nathan pulled veto power on her. Taylor looked so smug though, I wanted to slap her silly. I get that Nathan is trying to cover his beehind here and since they agreed to keep each other's "secrets" it made sense, but the look of hurt on Haley's face bothered me. I felt bad for her there, but then, it's not like she doesn't deserve it just a little. I'm torn. I love her/I hate her. JP: His beef jerky comment was cute. He looked so natural sitting there in her car. J: "Top up or top down?" P: "Down. I don't think it’s gonna rain today." After all the weather analogies thrown in here, I hope this is true soon. Please let the sun come out for these people, they need good moments badly, EVERONE in Tree Hill (specially NH). L/A: when she told him about her being Bi, his WTF face was priceless. It was like he was thinking "Uh-oh, did I turn her to the other team?" LOL. Notice how when she mentioned it was Brooke he had feelings for he neither confirmed nor denied. He just let her assume she was right. Unless the words "I LOVE BROOKE" come out of his mouth I won't believe it. Call it me wanting to have some faith in Lucas, cause if it's Brooke then he is just a lying creep. Andy/Karen and eating crow: ok, they ended up ok, but next time how bout we try a little thing called TRUST kids, ok? Skanky Taylor trying to look all sexy at Nathan from the mirror, EW! I was soooo glad that he looked uncomfortable and immediately looked for his wife. I don't believe that he feels anything for Taylor, except annoyance and a normal feeling of being uncomfortable around her. This is after all his wife's sister and she is blatantly coming on to him. Him wanting to help Haley out and the little brief kiss between them at the end made me feel slightly better. I DO hope that they resolve all their issues and soon. I love this couple, and while I'm not deluded to think that all will be peaches and cream, I do not want anymore 3rd parties thinking they can break them up. I do believe they are in love with each other, so it's time to show it. The previews are irritating as usual. They feel like they are being made by an ex Jerry Springer employee. Whatever! I just hope that we get cute NH moments to help us weather the storm that is sure to come. I want Pod Haley and Nathan to go away and bring back my couple from S1. Will the real NH please stand up? I know I sound like I hated the eppy, and at first glance I did. I wanted a rusty knife to go psycho on Mark B. Perry for writing this eppy, but you know what, it was actually great. All my feelings were exactly what they wanted to elicit from me, and they succeeded. If I had been numb to the whole eppy, THEN it would've sucked. So all in all, a good eppy, just not containing the happy NH that I wanted. I'm sure it'll come though, Schwahn will come through in the end. I have faith in you Mr. Schwahn, so prove me right. At least my S1 DVDs made me happy. Later guys! Denise 1 @6:27 AM -- ravens23 [0 Followed the Rambling] We got Season 1 on DVD Sunday, January 30, 2005 Well, the new job is definitely keeping me busy! I barely have time to go to FanForum anymore, so I will be resigning my post as moderator there effective 2/4/05. Was that the shortest reign EVER or what? I have watched season 1 on DVD again. It just reminded me how disappointed in TV I am this year. Examples: 1) One Tree Hill is ok, but the dynamics I loved in season 1 are fading. (Do gotta say that Bryan G is SAVING THE SHOW!) 2) Alias... alias... alias... *rhytmically shakes head side to side* First no Sark, and now this random episode crap. 3) West Wing... boooor-ing. Just give me Josh and Donna and let me be happy! But don't throw it into a fast relationship... I like watching the flirting and playfulness! 4) Gilmore Girls... why do you have to rush the Rory/Logan thing? and Luke and Lorelai are putting me to sleep. Can we spice it up without destroying it? 5) E.R... don't even get me started on the huge waste of potential this show is exerting. Kovac/Sam could equal some really HOT stuff! Shane West is not getting used to the best of his capabilities... enough of the whining new doctor crap! Shane, babe, I know you are trying to get away from you fandom of teens, but trust 'em, you + romantic stuff = RATINGS. 6) The OC... stands for the only thing I still like about the show = the Opening Credits! Ok, I'm being a little sarcastic, Seth is still awesome and I still love Sandy too. But that's all! LOL 7) Numbers - slow starting, we'll see where it goes. 8) Point Pleasant - Still testing the waters 9) American Dreams - Maybe it is the lack of romance in my life, or I'm just a dreamer; but I want to see more boy/girl dating kissing interaction. I know, I know, I should just go buy a smutty romance novel and be done with it, but I don't believe we have to torture through an entire season of disappointments just to have one really kick ass finale.
