Episode 3.11 Return of the Future airdate 18Jan06
Wednesday, January 18, 2006 So, just when you think I've forgotten all about updating. Here I am. Let's start this off with the usual gooing and gawing. I LOVED THE EPISODE. I loved how Nathan and Haley sat at the end and talked it out. I love how Haley didn't put up with his B.S. and told him off. There were so many good moments. So many little things that just made the episode on a whole awesome. I will list all those...after my recap, so let's jump in: Peyton/Ellie: Workin' it out. I think Peyton knows that Ellie is not as in remission as she claims to be. The poor girl. She's just lonely. My full verdict is still out on this... but I am hoping that we get to hear Haley sing Halo for some benefit concert!! I am hoping Nathan watches her sing it and the lyrics hit him upside the head! Brooke/Lucas/Rachel: Forgive me. I know I put Rachel into this synopsis, but I think she is going to be the tool that breaks up BL's happily ever after. I'm afraid Brooke might get bored and Rachel is already bored and we know Lucas is boring... ha ha ha... sorry, I think Rachel is going to try and mess with BL. I just can't believe she would give Brooke her dream come true to do it... that is so Chris/Haley. (ouch! Sorry) But honestly... would you give your nemesis their dream just to get their boyfriend? What the hell is that red head up to? Dan/Karen/Keith/Deb/Whitey: Yay to the adults getting comedic and steamy lines. First... Whitey Whitey Whitey. Telling Dan to get out of your craphole. CLASSIC. Keith and Karen finally hooking up. Heaven. Keith came back a bit more powerful, or is it just me? For some reason, I liked him tonight more than I have- ever. I was actually *gulp* happy when they started kissing, and I felt a little embarrassed for them when the po po showed up. Nathan AND Haley: Yes, I am well aware that the boards all over internet virtual land must be freaking out. I am sure so much will be misinterpreted and I can already tell that a lot of my cohorts are getting worked up over the promo. (Subtle reminder: It's the WB's crack promo team people... just keep that in mind.) Now, about NH. I am very very happy with this episode. Nathan is getting nervous about college, his mother just confessed to him she tried to kill his father, his brother had let him down, he's mad at his coach, he lives alone in a big ass house that he locked his father out of and will now have to learn how to run the sprinklers and feed the lawn gnome... face it... this boy has some pressure in his life. I can forgive him freaking out over Dan's comments. WE ALL KNOW they were meaningless... but that man had a grip on his son's life for YEARS. . . excuse him if he's 17 for a minute and actually freaks out! I loved that Haley gave him what for. You go girl! I mean, you can apologize and show you want your husband back... but you don't have to become a stomping mat. Throw those friggin' birth control pills in his face! Hmpf! I'm glad they talked to each other at the end... a conversation started at that outside bench/table and I like to believe it lasted a while and he walked her home- holding hands the whole way. Talking. Whoo hoo. Lucas/Nathan: Let me say this... they keep bringing each other around. When one of them starts moving to the edge, the other still gives him the wake up call he needs. I love the brothers! Now... some moments from the show I would like to put in print here so I will never forget them. I hope they bring a visual to your mind and make you smile.
NOW... regarding the promo. I don't care what they show. I still stand my word that I learned my lesson from "kissgate" and will never believe a WB promo again. I like to watch it with the sound down so I can see the pretties... but I don't buy a word of what is said when they splice that bitch together. OK... I am off to try and post at my LJ and mySpace.
